These lyrics reach deep into the souls of the broken-hearted. Horatio Spafford, the writer of this 150-year-old hymn, experienced depth of sorrow like no other. On a boat to America, the boat sank and all four of his daughters died. He sailed across to meet his wife and when his boat was near the shipwreck, he wrote the words to "It Is Well."
This is my most popular hymn. I decided to write a second version with a more fluid style and in a peaceful blue/gray color. If you'd rather have it in black, just put that in the notes section at checkout and I can change it!
